Vacation Bible School 2017

It’s time to prepare and sign up for Vacation Bible School 2017! We are so excited
for a summer of fun with you! At Maker Fun Factory VBS, kids discover not only that
God made them the way they are, but for a unique purpose too! Maker Fun Factory is
filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids will see, hear, touch, and even
taste! We will make inventions, engage in science experiments, play games, learn Bible
songs with motions, and share meals together. Everything is hands on so come
prepared to play and even get a bit messy! All of these activities will help the kids and
adult volunteers together discover how God is active in our everyday lives.

This summer at Elkins Park Presbyterian Church Vacation Bible School will be
held on Tuesday, July 11 from 6:15-8:15 pm, Thursday, July 13 from 6:15-8:15 pm,
Saturday, July 15 from 9:30-11:30 am, Tuesday, July 18 from 6:15-8:15 pm, and
Thursday, July 20 from 6:15-8:15 pm. The Saturday session will include a free pancake
breakfast and the evening sessions will include free dinner. On the Tuesday and
Thursday evenings dinner will be served at 6:15 pm and the VBS program will begin
promptly at 6:45 pm. On Saturday, July 15 your entire household is invited to join our congregation for a Pancake breakfast at 9:30 am and then you can all stay to participate
in an all-ages VBS program from 10 am to 11:30 am.

The VBS curriculum is geared for students in kindergarten through 3rd grade. Older youth are invited to come and volunteer as a VBS assistant partnered with one of our adult leaders. Younger youth are welcome if accompanied by a responsible
chaperone like a teenage sibling or adult family member. VBS is open to church
members, friends, and newcomers.

Registration forms are enclosed in this mailing and we would love for you to
return them promptly so we can plan ahead, order supplies, and get everything set up
for lots of fun together. Please return the registration forms on or before June 4. VBS is free including meals and we ask each participant to bring non-perishable food
donations for the Food for Hope Pantry. A list of appropriate food donations is enclosed in this mailing.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our Christian
Education Committee Chairperson Barb Tilford via our church office 215-887-2544. See you soon!

Blessings in the name of Christ,
